The
love story of Lancelot and Guinevere
It all started with a man named Lancelot,
who was in love with King Arthur’s lover (Guinevere).
Lancelot was
one of the best and greatest knights of the roundtable. But he flirted with Guinevere until she fell in love with him. After they confess their
love to each other, they kept it a secret from King Arthur. Day by day, Guinevere
and Lancelot would have secret meetings; thinking that no one would find out
about their affections for one another.
But unluckily, one of King Arthur’s nephews
caught them both in Guinevere’s chamber. Guinevere was sentence to have her
burn to deaf as her punishment, but instead King Arthur banished her out of his
kingdom (Camelot). Later in life, Guinevere died as a nun at Amesbury, and
Lancelot life ended too, as a hermit.

My personal reaction: I was not surprise about the conclusion of this story, because cheating with another man is a very bad thing to do. There should be no excuses to do something that is so inappropriate. I believe that Guinevere's life would have gone much better if she went to Arthur, and just confess to him that she loved another person.
